are they the carvings basically the other side of the road to the Egyptian ones? the main dude has a ring in his hand & a sword-belt? and there's a bridge-like path now around them? if so, went and saw that too. like you say - they've been brushed away heaps. some are barely noticeable.

I'm on the opposite side of Sydney. So no. None of the ones near me are anywhere near as extensive as those Egyptian ones. I like finding them and trying figure out what they are. Most around here are aboriginal and are protected from public knowledge because of their fragility and the amount that the known ones are vandalised.

chillbilly wrote:It doesn't take that long to carve into sandstone. In year 5 several of my friends and I got in trouble for carving a gigantic man (about 4m from head to foot) into the sandstone rock that covered about a tenth of the school.
There are a heap of carvings around my area if you know where to look and are willing to go off the paths and bash through the bush.
The bushfires that came through about 10 years ago exposed a massive rock covered in aboriginal carvings in the bush down the end of my street. There were whales, kangaroos, men, women and many other things carved all over it. Sadly because it has now been exposed the water running over the top of it in the rain are causing them to disappear very quickly. Where are you talking about? I'm from Helensburgh and there's a fair few.

WFMB: Had my first kickboxing class for 10 weeks yesterday and it felt awesome to get back in there. In a bit of pain this morning though but that's good because I know I'm working hard
WAFMB: There's this mint chick I know right (8/10 easy), and I thought "fuck it, I'm gonna man up and just tell her I think she's hot". So I did, and she took it pretty well and we had a really good chat through the night. feelsgoodman.jpg

WFMB: Got this today, most painful thing I've ever experienced bar meeting Bowden Edited by marconi101: 6/9/2012 03:22:03 PM
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.
