With Agger as injury prone as he is, that's a very high probability.

I think Pacheco deserves more game time than he's been getting. I don't think Ngog is an adequate fourth option up front though.

Ecclestone has been doing well in the ressies, but I'd want somebody more reliable tbh. The fact we were looking at Wickham makes me think we do want to sign somebody up top, though.

More importantly, I hope we ship out Degen and Poulsen.

That's really difficult, but unless they're looking further afield and cheaper, there's no-one to replace David, who rightly wants first team football...

West Ham, Bolton - but yeah, if we sell him, who's going to replace him? Dani?

In our case after a month or so we had 2 first team defenders and a hack :lol:

Some numpty thought it was a good idea to put something in his contract stipulating he'd get a 1 year extension if he played 'x' amount of games last year. Thanks to Roy he got that, so I think they'll just keep him for this year and then let him go.



I read that Bolton bid 4mil yesterday... I wouldn't be against a swap deal involving Cahill, but if we let him go we need to bring in a replacement.

Anybody in the championship would gladly take him. Just get him anywhere but our matchday 18.

Who'd buy him? Best to keep him in there for when you're high up at the end of a game. He's got a good nut on him as well. That was the feted thing about him that led Hodgson to play him all the fucking time.

I think everyone is wondering why Kyrgiakos is still there. Hopefully we see another defender come in before the end of the month.

Good money spent, eh? :) Where it counts, as well. Plenty of digs at the entire team of midfielders, but fuck it, we've now got a midfield and a defence to be proud of. No more of this stop-gap shit bringing reserves in and hoping for the best.

Not that they were bad, but you noticed the lack of experience, didn't you? Very happy we bought Downing, chuffed to fuck we have Adam, over the moon about Jordan, but slightly confused as to why Sotos is still there. Still, I reckon you have to have a 20 minute champion to rest up a decent player or two toward the end of the game... I was going to say what kind of damage could he do in 20 minutes, but I've seen him ruin a defence in 5. Fairly happy N'Gog is still there, too. Could have got a few million for him, certainly more than we paid for him. Oh, and Doni. :)

Expectations, as always, no less than number one... but at the very least we haven't got a fuckin numpty in charge this season.

Well apparently Johnson is going to miss our first game through injury anyway. There's nothing wrong with Flannagan, Robinson and Kelly getting game time, tbh.

Wouldn't worry about it. Comparatively very young. 3 more years anyway, and more defenders required for cover at the back or we end up playing GJ at RB again. A few, including Kelly, still on the rebound from injuries, so there's room.

Good deal there for Enrique. Him and downing on the left is more than handy. Concerned that Kelly won't get enough game time though.

Disappointed that Ayala is leaving, I expected him to step up this season. It would be smart to have a buy-back clause there.

I think the only thing that adds that extra 1.5m onto Clichy's price is the Champions League experience.

Yeah true. I'd say Enrique is better defensively, but I'm not sure at his consistency going forward. He's definitely a good signing for us though.

We signed Jose Enrique from Newcastle. A left back was needed. It's been confirmed now.
