What's the album called? I haven't heard any of his latest songs yet. Recommend any to look up on youtube?

The album is called "Sleep Through The Static", and apparently he was going to mix up his style, but it didn't happen. In all honesty, all of the songs are good, maybe Sitting, Waiting, Wishing is just a bit ahead of the rest? But it's a pretty good album in truth...

Quote:apparently he was going to mix up his style, but it didn't happen Just listened to Sleep Through The Static and If I Had Eyes.... yeah sounds a bit different to his previous work... still typical JJ though ;) Will buy it next time i'm at JB. EDIT I remember when I was the only one in my grade at school who liked this song... a year later those who hated it were raving how good it is  Nelly - Country Grammar It's got one of those beats that you can like even if you're not into hip hop. YAY!!! New NIN song out...i'll have to check it out...has anybody heard it?? Quote:although they don't compare to Seether if were talking about S.African bands. Seether would be awesome if it wasn't for the record company constantly vetoing their stuff. Did you hear any of their stuff when they were "Sarin Gas"? Quote:Ever heard of Watershed, Niemand, The Parlatones, Trees 63, Just Jinger. No, but i'll check them out. Quote:Jack Johnson, former pro' Surfer who sings all those acoustic tunes, and does a lot of work with Ben Harper...
I'd recommend any Alter Bridge song, too. They have three ex-members of Creed, but don't really sound like it at all, a pretty decent band. Jack Johnson isn't that special and I can't say i've liked his stuff much at all. Alter Bridge are ok, but they've still got that shit under their noses from being Crreed really.

Do Seethers company really have that much of an impact on them? They have a lot of songs that really aren't radio friendly... I never heard them as Sarin Gas, is any of it worth getting?
good songs-
High and Dry - Radiohead I Might Be A Cunt (But At least Im Not A Fucking Cunt) - TISM Rejection Role - Soilwork

They were called "Sarin Gas" until the record company made them change it after the attacks on the Tokyo subway. I've never heard any of their work under that name, that's why I was asking...to see if anybody had. And Karma and Effect was meant to be called something else and the cover was meant to be a strung-up corpse, the record company wouldn't let them use it. Meltdown - Atrium Carceri. Cyanide - Deathstars. My Twin - Katatonia.

Even Shihad went to Pacifier to avoid similar issues though. I suppose its a pity they can't express themselves the way they want too, though it shouldn't really affect their music.

They censored a couple of tracks. Because Of Me was one and I think they cut an entire verse out of I'm The ONe for being too graphic in describing the sexual assault of the girl in the song. The record company shouldnt' be allowed to do this, but they can't exactly just leave when they're on a contract.

I hear a rumour thought that the lead singer, cant remember his name, is originally from Africa.

I guess it depends on what you like, really. Meh, I like Alter Bridge, but yeah... Jesse McCartney - Right Where You Want Me is a quality song. Meh, Daughtry are ok, for Idol rejects, anyway...

I think he spent the first few months of his live in South Africa or Zimbabwe or something like that. Should be shot for calling his kid Apple. Speed of Sound isn't that good a song. Coldplay in general are pretty chillout, I prefer post-rock for taht kinda stuff...something like Mogwai. Or something ambient like Atrium Carceri. Seriously, you lot know more about me than I do. Old mate mk told me I don't have Foxtel, now you tell me who I'm into, musical-wise. Wow. I'm into more of the Alternate-Rock, I guess you could call it. The McCartney thing was just to be different, and wasn't to be taken seriously, unless coming from martyB. :p
