I don't want to be reactionary, but surely Ponting's spot has to be in question as much as Clarke, North and the rest of our failing batsmen.

Ponting and Clarke are pretty much safe no matter what happens. It's North who is gone imo if he doesn't get at the very least 50.

Was in good form in India before this. Made 3 50's in 4 innings. Him and Clarke have the pedigree to get back from this, which is why they should stay in, until they've failed for an extended period of time. North doesn't have that.

Yeah, both Clarke and Ponting have shown that they have the ability to come back from this. Plus coming into this series they were 2 of our more inform batsmen.

Watson gone for 57. Big wicket for England there.

If I needed someone to get past 50, but not score more than 60, Watto would be the man I choose.
