So happy with that win. Defence really won it for us. Bad news for the Roosters with Sam Perret suffering a suspected broken ankle.

decent performance but gave them most of their points, flukey tries, and should have won the game halfway through the 2nd Half but you'll take those 2pts, good goal line defence last 10

Yeah, not top happy with some of the mistakes and just stupid penalties but the defence was just outstanding.

At the end was it called time on because an easts player stuck his head out of the scrum?

Yeah, lots of confusion about whether it should have been called time on. Wouldn't have mattered anyway with only 4 secs left.

:-s Easts feed, one last play, say that to Brian Smith that it wouldn't have mattered

The way Easts were tiring they wouldn't have got close to a try.

The rule stats that once time is stoped the players must stay packed into the scrum, and in a scrum the lock isnt standing up, so its there own fault, whoever the lock is is a goose for standing up, the rules been in the comp for a year or so now

Mhmmm happened last season with dogs melbourne in adelaide when they packed the scrum and then slater put his head up and let time back on, its easts fault but if i was Brian Smith i wouldn't be happy with losing that opportunity

Then its the refs decision to allow time to start again, its to stop teams packing scrums with centers/wingers etc then once time is stopped they would separate and let the forwards pack the scrum, its a good rule i like it,

Hold up. The rule has changed this year. The players CAN put their heads up this year but they can't break off from the scrum i.e - let forwards in.

This was the rule last year and the ref made a complete blunder. Yeah there was only 4 secs left but anything can happen. Yet another ref mistake

If that is so why do you hear every week the refs tell the team that has packed the scrum early to keep there heads down, its not one ref its all refs who say it,

I reckon i've counted 4 other occassions this year where players have lifted their heads and time hasn't been called on. Both my mate and I were immediately confused yesterday as soon as he blew time on. Not to mention the commentators were saying the same thing.

Just another shit ref. Bit like the ones from Souths v Parra Friday night

It is a bit childish on the rooster players part, why take the chance,

i do understand what your saying i too have saw the same thing but its silly that no other member of the scrum can lift hes head so why can the lock do it once time is off, it should be no one can

I reckon it was just a mistake on his part. Potentially cost the Roosters the game and could you imagine the blow up if that was a GF. I reckon if i was a Roosters fan i'd be pissed. Mistakes happen but what annoys me to no end is inconsistency. I don't mind them blowing time back on, hell i reckon they should be doing it but so long as that's the action taken on all occassions.

Much like the offside from kick offs this year, hopefully they continue that throughout the year. Oh and where the fuck have these penalties come from for feeding the 2nd row in the scrum ? WTF ? It happens EVERY SCRUM yet I've seen 2 penalties for it.

Please someone, anyone, give us some consistency.

R.e the scrum its a good rule, its basic rugby league where you put a ball in a scrum the players, players are taught it when there 8,

im glad they have brought the kick off offside rule in but yes lets see in round 26 i hope its done every game but we will see,

Bill Harrigan has brought some good rule changers to the game since he took over from robert finch so i hope it continues but i also think he should be given a chance in the role

I just hope tonight, sitting in my seat at the stadium i don't see a moment that contradicts the call made yesterday.

Chances are it will be against us anyway  Even though we'll be down 48 - 6

It's ridiculous. I gave you the match on Fri night although your tip was made at Half Time. Just because I felt sorry for you, before the Cowboys match anyway.
