The rule stats that once time is stoped the players must stay packed into the scrum, and in a scrum the lock isnt standing up, so its there own fault, whoever the lock is is a goose for standing up, the rules been in the comp for a year or so now

Mhmmm happened last season with dogs melbourne in adelaide when they packed the scrum and then slater put his head up and let time back on, its easts fault but if i was Brian Smith i wouldn't be happy with losing that opportunity

Then its the refs decision to allow time to start again, its to stop teams packing scrums with centers/wingers etc then once time is stopped they would separate and let the forwards pack the scrum, its a good rule i like it,

Hold up. The rule has changed this year. The players CAN put their heads up this year but they can't break off from the scrum i.e - let forwards in.

This was the rule last year and the ref made a complete blunder. Yeah there was only 4 secs left but anything can happen. Yet another ref mistake

If that is so why do you hear every week the refs tell the team that has packed the scrum early to keep there heads down, its not one ref its all refs who say it,

I reckon i've counted 4 other occassions this year where players have lifted their heads and time hasn't been called on. Both my mate and I were immediately confused yesterday as soon as he blew time on. Not to mention the commentators were saying the same thing.
