A graduate from the AIS and an Olympic junior this defensive midfielder towering in at 187cm is one hard nut that Sydney Olympic need to be firing on all cylinders in order to have a chance for the tittle in 2011.
Peter Tsekenis appointment as first grade coach for 2011 has brought much buzz around the club for the 2011 season and the fans of Olympic all demand success immediately with many around the grounds in the St George and Inner West all referring to Peter Tsekenis championship win in his first season as coach of Bankstown Lions FC.
Phil Makrys had a blinder of a season in 2010 in his first year in an Olympic first grade season and with this experience he is ready and excited for what lies ahead in 2011. A fan favorite already as sweat, blood and tears are all part of the make up of Phil we wish him all the best in 2011.
