Don’t let the town drunk convince you that he's the mayor
Too often people are able to deceive the masses that they represent more than they really do. None more than some of our own members on FFT, I speak about the ever changing alias of certain so called football fans, more precisely Sydney Olympic fans (if you can call them fans). For years before the NSL was disbanded, I was there week in week out supporting my club, however just like the sport has evolved so have I (too bad some have clear development issues), since the reformation of the sport in this country I have moved forward, supporting the A-league, the FFA and Sydney FC (despite struggling to find the required emotional connection), but just like you do with anything you love, you preserver, so I do it for the love of the game.
However I haven’t forgotten the past, and I still live very much in it, as the past is what has brought us to the present. Despite the vast issues which are aligned with the NSL, it is still remains and always will be the foundations of our sport and a rich history which shouldn’t be disrespected. However as many of those who represent the past and the future try to create links between each other, there are always the doomsayers who are ready to lie till blue in the face, how can one call themselves a supporter of the game when they go on community radio and constantly refer to the Sydney FC as “Sydney Hakoah and Sydney City” Racist? Yes. Stupid? Yes. However the people who are making a ruckus are only a minority and don’t represent the ambitions of the club. I speak as a supporter of all football in Australia however have felt depressed at the thoughts of watching over the past year, a small portion of imbeciles destroy the reputation of not only a football club, but a wider community. They have come here and called the supporters of the A-league racist, and promote how Sydney Olympic is multicultural, and hence came the Olympic Ultras (separate entity to the club) however they attempt to pass us by with such attempts of selling jumpers which clearly show a lack of multiculturalism:

How people who say they love the club and want to see it move forward come into these forums and disgrace themselves, their heritage and their club, all while going contrary to their clubs own opinions. So despite the ideas given by these posters on our forums this is the comments by Sydney Olympic’s President: “What I would like to push with the A-League clubs was that they get rid of all their youth, for example Sydney FC has three youth players, give them to Sydney Olympic and say they have to be played in first grade, we will share the cost with them and we can be the feeder club for them.” Vastly different to those portrayed by some on these forums. While when asked if he wants Olympic in the A-league he replied: “For Sydney Olympic to go forward it would have to change its current (tough one)... the culture at Sydney Olympic would need to change.”
In short, this is nor a blog or a rant, however more of a collection of emotions and hurt which has been overridden by chest beating morons. So I hope all who read this realise there is more to Olympic than just a few baboons, and instead an accepting community who are misrepresented by a embarrassing few.
Thank you. Let’s Move Forward for Football in Australia. Let’s Move Forward To The Top With The A-league.
