So SSGs (Small Sided Games) started last saturday - fewer players, more touches, less focus on results, better for player develoment....? Well a 4 aside U7A game saw a "must win" coach play a very deep sweeper (virtually GK) lumping long balls, a striker sitting very close to the opposition goal who picked up the sweeper's lumps & shot from point blank & the other 2 players shot from over half way as soon as they got the ball. The whole NDP (National Development Plan)& SSG strategy is really sorting people out, but how do we get rid of the Philistines?

IMO 12 is to old to be playing like this, im happy this wasnt around when i was playing U12. Are they gonna try and make these same changes to school sport football, if they dont it will be sort of fuc*ed up.
