MUSTAFA AMINI TO BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Mustafa Amini is believed to be in a line for a dream move to "a high-profile Barclays Premier League club", just days after Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund were reported to have been "priced out" of signing the Central Coast Mariners teenager.

Amini's management said the young gun's dreams had been compromised when they claimed the Mariners were seeking a fee close to $1 million for the young attacking midfielder, who burst on to the A-League scene only last season.

Dortmund had initially offered to pay $135,000.

Borussia are still believed to be interested in the youngster, who might then be loaned back to the A-League club, but one of the EPL giants is thought to be waiting in the wings should the deal fall through.

Going to an EPL club over Dortmund as a junior player would possibly be the dumbest thing he could do.

I was pretty sure Mariners had struck a deal with Dortmund...

Doesn't mean personal terms were agreed.

I think the Mariner's have fucked this up badly, there is no way he is worth anywhere near their valuation- €135k is much closer. I think they saw how Melbourne stood up to them last year over a Langerak and thought they'd be able to pull off the same and hold out for money. Problem being, Langerak was far better and had more worth in his contract to be compensated on

Amini has already agreed personal terms. The issue is the club's valuation. They're looking for near AU$350k but he's probably worth closer to AU$250k. If they're getting him back for a year on loan and not having to increase his wage payments, they shouldn't be greedy. They're not going to get a Victory-esque deal for him.

My big concern is that the media circus in BD might go to Amini's head. He'd want to focus hard and ignore all the talk and comparisons in the paper to that kids TV character or his football could suffer.

The revised offer from Dortmund hasn't actually been received last I heard.
