Seen on twitter, (@christannerZSEM) "Chilean youth international and Melb. Heart target Jose Guerrero del Solar begins his transition to A-League by signing with VPL's Hume City"

20 years old, plays a forward/winger

only description i could find:

"The electric Chilean U16 international is now looking to further his football career outside of the South American continent. Del Solar has silky skills, and has speed and acceleration. He is strong on the ball and possesses great vision. He has made his senior debut amid rave reviews at age 17.

Sharing his youth football education between Chile and Australia has broadened his skill set, and he is now ready to take his career to another level, and has settled in Melbourne, Australia."

however if we signed him - then i'd be sure that the club would disclose this information.

Wouldn't need to. You'd know his status, simply by the club signing him...as there are no visa spots left on Heart's roster.

I ask this out of ignorance as I honestly have no idea if its a grey area, however could the club sign him for the youth team, or to hold him until he obtains citizenship/permanent residency? As long as he does not take to the field, would it be an option?

Regretting the signing of Grey - a pointless signing as there are other CB's who could play that position and it would free up that visa spot.
