I have been recently been watching old NSL highlights on YouTube and than thought, why don't Foxsports/SBS show old games on TV? It would be great to see Foz, Arnold and the younger days of Emerton playing so I emailed FFA and they responded:

"Hi Tom,

Thank you for your email.

FFA would be more than happy to discuss broadcast rights with any potential broadcaster, but the decision to re-broadcast those matches is entirely up to the broadcasters (SBS, Fox Sports, etc).

You may want to contact them to find out if they are interested in replaying.

Regards,
FFA Media"

It would be fantastic to see, Les Murray seems to be interested.

Perhaps if Fox acknowledged the history of the game, talked about it, linked players from the past to the commentators, coaches and senior players of today - we might get a better context for the history of the game.

It was really great to watch the Viduka tribute last year when they pulled up the old Knights footage.

Failing replays of old games - would love to see Fox get a couple of older players each week and pull up highlights from their best/most memorable games.

End of the day - such a show would be cheap filler for Fox and would provide a little more 'human interest' about the characters in the game. Human interest can only grow the bond between supporters and the game.
