I'm not sure about your neck of the woods, but we seem to have a lot of competitions for players here.

*One second tier state league club has organised a roster for social teams. They are both male, female and mixed gender teams.

In the mixed gender roster they may have only one state league male player. I was hoping the club would have had a 7v7, or preferably a 5v5 roster. Instead they have 11v11.

*Vikings are running a futsal comp.

*FFA are running a futsal comp.

*There is also an indoor mixed gender roster for 5v5 in an indoor cricket centre. The ball is never out. It bounces off the nets, so play rarely stops.

All these comps are good for players to play casually, without too much coaching and structure. A lot better than running to keep fit in between seasons.=d>

agree with krones......... the more soccer kids and grown up dudes get........the better they get at playing soccer.

practise makes perfect.

give footballers a rest from formal coaching I say.........learn soccer from playing soccer.
