FFT is in the process of building a synthetic pitch at state headquarters.
I think about 20 games can be played per weekend, with no detriment to the surface. More teams will be able to play and train on decent surfaces , particularly in late July/early August when grass pitches are at their worst.
I wonder if this could improve performances?
Mods just in case you are reading this, I intend to start a thread in state league section, but with a different purpose. This is a performance issue, that will be finance/administrative.

It should definitely help with performance, if you can't play a good passing game on a synthetic pitch then you never will.
Every state federation should have had multiple synthetic pitches installed at their headquarters a few years ago. Every year they wait the installation costs increase. Once this pitch is up and running in Tasmania you'll be wondering how you ever survived without it.
