Surprised to not see a thread here about this guy. So for those who don't know what's been going on...

In short, Dorner was fired by the LAPD in 2008 and appears to have spent a long time planning his retribution. His claims are that he broke the code of silence and stood up to his training officer in the LAPD, making a statement that the training officer kicked a suspect multiple times while the suspect was on the ground and being cuffed (the suspect was mentally ill btw). His statement was dismissed, then he was fired for making a false statement regarding the same incident.
Now he's shooting LAPD officers and anyone related to his statement/dismissal (including family). He's killed 3 people so far and injured 2 others.
So there's a highly skilled ex-Navy and police roaming around the place, having 4 years to plan his actions, and targeting the LAPD. A huge manhunt is on and a $1 million reward for those who help with his capture.
In return, the LAPD has managed to shoot 2 Hispanic women (one being about 70yo) delivering newspapers in a truck that was kind of like Dorner's (wrong model and colour), then crash into and shoot a skinny white guy driving a truck that was also kind of like Dorner's (wrong model and colour). It should be noted at this stage that Dorner is a large black guy. Both instances there was reportedly no warning from the police before shooting.
This is a crazy story. The fallout from this will be huge for the LA community and LAPD, although they'll probably try to sweep it under the rug.
