Not sure if this discussion is really going anywhere, but here's my opinion for what its worth... The grassroots in this country is starving for funds and the FFA is happy to see a large percentage of the $20 million spent on a bunch of one-off Tim Cahill training clinics. A public relations celebrity grab by Foxtel rather than a real investment in the grassroots in my opinion. How about supporting the clubs and associations that are our grassroots and faciltating the development of a clear pathway for elite young players from these clubs and associations through to the A-league club youth structures?
