Training plans for inexperienced parent/coaches

I was thinking about playing an unofficial technical directors role next year for my club and giving a helping hand to the parents that have been roped into coaching their kid's team. If you were to spend just an hour or so with parents with no prior football knowledge pre-season what would you say?

I would only include ages 12 and under as I've found coaches at a higher age group when the games become competitive put some effort into structuring sessions.

I think the most important thing would be to ensure the kids are getting as many touches as possible, that they are not standing idly and that they have plenty of S.S.Gs where the kids can learn for themselves.
Then I think demonstrating some simple drills/games that the coach could use would be effective enough.

Any thoughts?

Thanks - got mine and have already forwarded to a couple of rookie coaches that were struggling for ideas.
