Heard through the grape vine gve wants to get this guy back to help mentor his young centre backs for a year or two. I think this would be an invaluable signing for the jets. Underrated IMO

This could throw a spanner in the works.
Days after Al Nasr confirmed the signing of Brett Holman from Aston Villa, it appears Al Wasl could be closing in on their own Australian import, Sport360° understands.
Wasl, under new manager Laurent Banide, are looking to build a squad ahead of the new season that will see the Cheetahs become a more competitive outfit than in their previous two campaigns. And central to Wasl’s plans will be filling their foreign quota.
Iraqi defender Ahmed Ibrahim has returned to Arbil FC following his six-month loan spell, and Sport360° has been informed Wasl are in talks with Australian centre-half Eddy Bosnar to become the club’s new Asian player.
Bosnar, a left-sided central defender, is a renowned set-piece specialist and last year set a world record for the fastest free-kick ever scored.
A source close to the Suwon Bluewings player has told Sport360° that it is between Bosnar and an unnamed Iranian defender to fill the void left by Ibrahim. A decision on who will be Wasl’s Asian signing will be made in the next few days.
Bosnar, 33, has enjoyed a long and varied career that has included stints at Dinamo Zagreb, Sturm Graz and J-League side Shimizu S-Pulse. He also sealed a move to Everton in 2004 but injury kept him on the sidelines and he departed Goodison Park a year later.
The potential arrival of Bosnar will be the second international signing for Wasl this summer after the arrival of Brazilian forward Kaio Felipe, who was unveiled earlier this month.
