Hot off the twitter press.
Ahmed Yussuf @ahmedyussuf10 2m Hearing great things on @SocStoppageTime about Melbourne Heart possibly being bought by Malay investors who are FOOTBALL people. #goheart
SocStoppageTime has been pretty spot on about various scoops and deals since it started, so this sounds like it could be on the mark.
I wonder if Chris knew about it.
Edit: I had a question mark after the topic title :S Joffa put it back thanks.

You could say the same about Indonesia yet the Roars owners have done fine. Has Roar moved forward under the Indonesian owners? If Im not mistaken they won their second championship under the Bakries and have become an exceptionally stable club compared to what they were before. Sure theyre not the best owners in the league but theyve done a fine job. If these Malaysian owners that want to buy Heart are close to as good, Heart will really benefit. But as sensible a poster as you normally are, I dont expect you to concede anything on this issue
They won their second title, but failed to lock their coach into a contract.
When he left they replaced him with the wrong man.
Not great FOOTBALL decisions. Which was my point.
As for stability - they've been in charge of Roar for 2 years and they've had 3 head coaches. They've had a pretty decent player turnover in the last 12 months too - something like 11 lads involved last season won't be there this season.
I've no problem with foreign owners, and wouldn't question their intent, I just find the initial post that these supposed Malaysian investors are FOOTBALL people. I doubt they have any better idea about football than the current owners of Heart.
Also, in the interest of fair play, I should point out the biggest plus the Indonesian Bakrie's have over the Malaysian investors... They exist.
