The Tasmanian NTC beat Sarawak under 20s 2-0, a few hours ago.
The game inexplicably started earlier than the publicised FFT kick off time on the FFT website, 15 minutes earlier. There were 2 early goals scored that most of us missed.](*,)
The balance of play was pretty even. The NTC probably had more possession, but Sarawak had better chances, creating more, but were profligate around goal.
The Tasmanian under 20s dominated Sarawak a few days ago.
The NTC played a 1-4-3-3 with the defensive midfield triangle. They looked a bit rusty having not played any games for a while. They started playing better towards the end of the game in Ball Possession, stringing some better sequences of passes together. However, they were caught out in defensive transitions a bit and were lucky not to concede on the counter attack.
Earlier in the game the ball was in the transitional phase of play more, with both teams losing possession more easily. There were a couple of players who were under 14 this year in the NTC line up.
Mods if you see this thread, in hindsight, it probably should have gone in this performance section, as these are development teams, certainly the NTC.
