We have , the money, the participation , the players, maybe not the coaches , but definatley not the intelegence to take this game to the top , in summary we are a slow moving machine going nowhere fast, maybe after the Asian competition in australain in 2015 we might just wake up from a deep coma.

Unfortunately I havent got to the answers you are looking for but I say this, playing soccer in ths country is to expensive even when we have a high participation rate, to many red tape and not sufficiant elite competitions,

I ask this A/: Why don't we have a youth In A- Leauge clubs u12-15
B/: Why can't Academys in this country be able to field an elite team in our elite ompetitions
C/: Why do we have a culture of winning in youth football instead of proper development
D/: Why won't they allow the APL have an opportunity to go up a level
E/: Why are we playing juniors on full field when other countries do the opposite

I hope we do well in the world cup for the sake of all the up coming juniors currently developing in this country.

The numbers are skewed, compared to international sports, like tennis, golf, swimming, etc, we're cheap. It's about $ rather than participation. Nrl, afl are funded top down, we don't have the possibility to do that, as our tv deal is about 20% of other codes and has to feed 5 times the mouths
A - jets and CCM have them, other clubs are following suit
B - shouldn't be a need for unregulated money driven academies, when the curriculum
Is able to be taught by trained coaches
C - agree, hopefully this changed
D - tv deal and money, can't have Perth or Adelaide relegated and add sydney or Melbourne teams, plus rest of the country needs to catch up to syd and Melbourne in terms of clubs standing. Game has moved on and more professional FFA and clubs now run it
E - not the case in the curriculum or in nsw.
