Man, this subject just makes me so fucking angry. I don't understand how people can hate him, simply because he hasn't played regular football?! It's not his vault that NT coaches think he's good enough tone involved without playing football. It just fucking pisses me off.


I believe the dislike comes from the fact that since not long after he left it has been obvious that he'd be better off coming home - but some believe that he's inferred he's above the league (I can't remember if he actually said anything about this or not).

Had he been chasing big money one could have understood it - but the reality is that post Blackpool in 2011 he's wasted 2 1/2 years of his career in the lower leagues of Spain (no money), Uzbekistan (good contracts but they don't pay, and he didn't play), USA (average deals for all but the stars), plus (rumoured) trials in Iran.

There's also some random idiots who appear to blame him for the Asian Cup final loss because he missed a challenge before the goal...
