This thread is for anyone seeking a venue to watch the world cup in good company, and perhaps enjoy a refreshing beverage whilst watching.

Anyone who owns, works in, or regularly attends a venue is welcome to add their own suggestion.

So... I begin with a fine city of Melbourne venue...

What are you talking about? I'm looking for an official live site held in public space, not a pub. There was one in Birrarung Marr in 2010. Federation Square has held them in the past. But I can't find anything official for 2014.


Would be guttered if this doesn't happen. I've had some great memories there the atmosphere was amazing in 2006. My mates and I still talk about it today. Planned to get up at 5.30am, jump in the car and head over there..
