Should the Asian Cup be played in June?

Not so much the 2015 version but in the future?

What determines when the tournament is played? Just had to sit through a moanfest from German managers about the AC and Africa Cup. They know when signing these guys that they're affected by that. I see 2004/07 were played at a more convenient time for European clubs. The didn't have anything to moan about 15 years ago with few Asian players in Europe. German clubs especially have little to complain about with their winter break ending on January 31.

This is turning into a bit of a rant but stuff the clubs and the disrespect for Asian football in Germany lately hasn't been nice to hear. Lots of people rolling their eyes but I think this will be a good tournament. It's on Eurosport here so hopefully a few people will be shut up.

2004 and 2007 were in the european summer. It depends on the host nation. The middle eastern countries cant host in July because of the heat.
I can understand them being pissed off with the africans because that tournament is more frequent. But the clubs know this when they sign players.
I thought it was funny when Drogba and Essien colided a few years ago during a match causing injury.

This is the equivalent of the euros and qualifies for the Confederations cup as you know.

Who would have guessed the Germans would be humble about other nations just after winning the wc....
