I don't get number two. Why would it be needed if a game has been drawn or a winner? A winner automatically has a better goal difference therefore making number 1 applicable. Number 4 means total goals ie: traditional goal difference definition. Number 3 is the same meaning a draw automatically sees goals scored as a tie.
1,2 and 3 apply to situations where 2 or 3 or 4 teams are tied but when it is only 2 teams 2&3 don't break the tie.
For a team example Teams A & B draw 0-0, A & C draw 1-1 and B & C draw 2-2. A, B and C all defeat (or lose to) Team D to create a 3 way tie.
Rankings based on the 3 matches between the 3 teams would be Team C 1st (0 GD between A,B,C but 3 goals scored in those games) then Team B 2nd (0 GD, 2 goals scored) then Team C (O GD, only 1 goal scored).
