More importantly, I hope this convinces state governments here finally that football delivers, and they'll bid for this again next chance we get.

Hope SA and WA were taking notes

WA 100% won't be paying for any games until the new dual purpose stadium (read AFL) is finished. Word is though that they've agreed to bid on games in the future if thrown a few freebies before then. No idea on the truth of this though. I guess we'll see if Perth ends up with a minor qualifying game next WC campaign.

A major problem with Perth is of course is the time difference. Given that qualifiers are played on week nights this is a major issue. Look how the FFA treated them for the cup and recently with hot weather. Play for East Coast viewers. They can hope for a weekend friendly perhaps.

And SA government is so far up the AFL /SACAs backside it can see the other end

Face it we won't get fruck all...

Rumours are we australia will be hosting the qualification stages of our world cup route. Adelaide and perth head the favoured cities.
