Bailey is an outstanding captain.
One of the best state captains in the history of Oz cricket. The lift he gives to the Tasmanian team when captain is astonishing.
In terms of leadership and player management, not necessarily as a tactician, Bailey is head and shoulders above any other current Australian player in any format of the game. His interpersonal skills and ability get on with other players is peerless, whilst providing leadership at the same time. He is also very articulate. The national team selectors are well aware of how integral he has been to Tasmanian success.
