Thailand pulls out of Asian Cup bid
July 21 (Reuters) - Thailand have withdrawn their bid to host the Asian Cup in 2023, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirmed on Friday.

That's a pity. They've grown as a footballing nation and have the events and tourism infrastructure.
China and South Korea the only remaining names in the hat. Both would be fine hosts, I'm just happy for it not to go to another oil state.

I think they try to alternate between east and west Asia from each tournament. You'd imagine by 2023 China would be a pretty strong nation at footballing, so could be a good chance for them to host and win it.
Spot on. A Chinese World Cup would also be likely the next time Asia gets to host.
