+x+x+x+x+xthat moment when you're a fan of neither team and are still going
Never anything wrong about going to a game as a neutral.
If you are overseas on holiday
Scottfucius say: You must only see your own team live even when you move interstate
Im just cranky like that.
It is a very #unique thing though that Australians follow leagues and not teams. After living in Europe I only watch my team live. I dont watch other teams in the league play each other.
This happens in AFL and NRL and as such A-League fans do it too. Strangley enough I watch A-League games.
Never been to Europe but would the travel times not have a bearing? I'd rather watch some sort of football than watch the Mariners when they come to town from 1,500 kms away once maybe twice a season.
The equivalent of that would be a whole new country in Europe, in which case surely you'd just follow another team in the league.
Interesting points. It's more the fact that football's on than anything for me. It's not like we are spoilt for choice here. I went to watch the Adelaide Hills Hawks and NPL games as well, but if Adelaide itself was saturated with football you're right I would probably just watch the important stuff and wait for the Mariners to come to town.
