Either by

1. Lazy Journo's trying to fill their quota
2. Dodgy Agents trying to pump the contract for elsewhere
3. Administrators trying to rescue their jobs
4. Broadcasters trying to rescue their 6 year contract

This was not a bad rumour ...he was in an advanced stage of signing with the Roar and was nearly over the line . Only fell apart because they could not agree on his business dealings interfering with his football commitments . He was actually keen to come .

If he was keen to come, there should not have been any problems with his business stuff.
