If Berisha missed his overhead and kicked the defender in the head in the semi should he get 10 weeks too? It doesnt look like O'donovan is trying to do anything other than score a goal. Reckless maybe but no intent and not worth 10 weeks.

Prior form against him admittedly though.


Bicycle kicks can be dangerous yes, but they're more on the side of reckless play then anything that has malice. 

O'Donovans has clear eyes on Thomas and still extended his foot outside his original trajectory to connect with his head. With his previous form against other players a lengthy ban is needed again.
