Australia's reputation of being poor against Asian spin was again on show overnite with our Southern Stars suffering their first defeat. Chasing a challenging 167 by India.. the entire Stars lineup fell to spin. Like our men most perished playing risky slog/sweeps and not using their feet. Only Ellyse Perry and Ashleigh Gardner looked capable against the Indian spin barrage. Even champion Meg Lanning fell to a poorly timed slog sweep.
Please CA employ a quality Asian spinner as our slow bowling coach for both men and women.. Our current coaches appear incapable of showing our cricketers the correct way to play the turning ball.
