Heard on the radio this morning the huge shortfall in government funding support for Football compared to other codes.
It is something like $110 or thereabouts for each registered Rugby League or Aussie Rules player and $37 for each registered football player.

@LFC

Re Lowy did nothing to get money where it counts. Good one - getting start up funds from governments for the HAL, Wanderers etc including low or nil interest loans not to mention unlikely Foxtel would have gambled on the HAL after the disastrous NSL if it wasn’t for Lowy. But football got nothing out of Lowy lol.

and here in lies the point you Miss - sure he done well at the top end where it counts for the returns, sure some good re the Roos again at the top but he and his board and even Jnr Lowy has done nothing where it really matters to build from the bottom or hey at the halfway points.
There might have been a directive or 3 but what occurred ? as long as AL was ok, close COE, Development isn't where it should be in 2019 let alone 2015 or further, but its ok paulc as long as the AL and Foxtel deal is ongoing were doing ok lol......
Right now what does the future hold paulc ?
