Watching the game showed how special Viduka was, excellent feet under pressure when his back towards his goal and set up a lot of link up play for the rest of the attackers.

That Popa yellow card was crucial as the Uruguayan attackers were starting to target him, overall it was a blessing for us as it meant Harry came in earlier than expected, there was a lot of talk whether he was fully fit and Guus wasn't prepared to use him from the start.

Zalac was getting warmed up to come on for Schwarzer as he apparently was the penalty shootout expert but Emerton got cramp and ended that sub, can you imagine if that sub actually happened, talk about hindsight!

Recoba missed than excellent chance in the first half, often would put that away but went wide, his set pieces were very dangerous all night.

So many what if moments in that game, it was something very memorable and special to witness.

Don't care what any of the knockers I've seen in here about Dukes, he didn't score enough blahblahblah......
What a talent - best frontman we've EVER had re his style of play/awareness/target man/shielding the ball/footwork.
A natural no doubt about it.
I watched this the other day from OP, Bridges descriptions was funny, Dukes didn't try hard and as he said, imagine if he really did train harder/fitter/stronger/faster.
The vid links are brilliant, and yes I recall all to well his hat trick against us/LFC thankfully not in the below.
