Was having a bit of a think about what clubs are out there in Australia that have their roots in ethnic communities that aren't too common in the game. We all know about the plethora of Italian, Greek, Croatian, Serbian and Macedonian clubs around the country, but what else is out there? Here's a list I came up with off the top of my head (mainly focused on NPL and state league level sides):

Current:
Portuguese – Fraser Park (NSW), Dulwich Hill (NSW)
Dutch – Lions FC (QLD), Morley Windmills (WA)
German – Richmond SC (VIC)
Hungarian – St. George (NSW)
Polish – Croydon City (SA)
Ukrainian – Inglewood Utd (WA)
Bosnian – Bossy Liverpool (NSW), Gazy Auburn (NSW)
Albanian – Dandenong Thunder (VIC)
Greek-Macedonian – Heidelberg Utd (VIC)
Aromanian – Pascoe Vale (VIC)
Maltese – Parramatta Melita (NSW), Green Gully (VIC), Caroline Springs George Cross (VIC)
Cypriot – Stanmore Hawks (NSW), Bentleigh Greens (VIC)
Turkish – Hume City (VIC)
Lebanese – Rydalmere Lions (NSW)
Irish – Carramar Shamrock Rovers (WA)
Chilean – Colo Colo (NSW)
Jewish – Sydney Hakoah (NSW)

Defunct:
Czechoslovak: Sydney Prague (NSW)
Pan-Yugoslav: Footscray JUST (VIC), Yugal (NSW)

Any others?

Historically Leeming Strikers can indeed be linked to the old Melville Alemannia, but only after a lot of mergers/demergers/renamings over the years. There's not actually any German connection these days.

On top of that, Leeming Strikers left the state amateur league at the end of 2014 (although I believe they still had Masters & Womens teams).
In 2017, North Lake Espanol's Amateur Premier team moved and renamed themselves to Leeming Strikers, which is why Leeming's history goes;
2012 - Amateur 4th division (winners)
2013 - Amateur 3rd division (last)
2014 - Amateur 5th division (6th)
2015 - Not in competition
2016 - Not in competition
2017 - Amateur Premier division (5th)

So Leeming also has a Spanish connection which would be stronger than any German connection.

Wow I didn't know. Cheers for that.
