+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xHe is a business man, he doesn't care who lives or dies, as long as the money rolls in, or do you naive little dreamers think he wants only what's good for the supporters of his club. Which club? Isn't he funding 3 x licenses? I think he is funding 1 club, the APL is funding Newcastle Jets for the time being. Don't get the facts all confused. Fair enough. Some other gala was trying to tell me that WU and WSW owners were funding Newcastle NOT the other APL clubs and that this was proof that the Aleague is very strong financially ???? Don't know or care to be honest. This was the official statement. "Ownership of the Newcastle Jets has officially been transferred to a consortium of existing Australian Professional Leagues (APL) club investors, led by Sydney FC, Western United FC, and the Western Sydney Wanderers FC."
Not sure if that means all APL clubs, just those 3 or somewhere in between. Either way, Newcastle Jets are owned by their rivals. It's weird. The upshot likely to be that all three clubs would get first dibs on any available players before the Jets. And rightly so while the Jets live on life support, till a new owner is found. Have often wondered,,,, Say South Melbourne, was to purchase an A-L club, say the Jeks... Once having secured the licence, move the team say to hhhhmmmm Hobart [just kidding Mono, I know its Adelaide] , and after moving rename the team... That scenario is what the P/R clause was written to prevent.
