Seems a good move. Getting more and tougher matches on a regular basis is a what is needed for better player development. It would be ideal is they aimed to extend both PL1 and PL2 to 16 team competitions over time.
That's what I took out of the article.
Seems that everyone, bar the owners of the A League, realises that a closed system is detrimental to football development.
