I think one of his boys plays/ed at Port.... The more "voices" the better mate... Disgusting move from the council, hope they ride the Mayor out on a rail.

All three of his kids play(ed) soccer at various levels. I'm pretty sure all for Port. Hird has also worked as some sort of consultant/broker involved with the buying/selling of football clubs in Europe. He's also involved with Concave who make football boots. There was a great interview with him on the old Santo, Sam and Ed podcast a few years back. Definitely worth a listen. The guy definitely loves the round ball game.
