The world cup is 'the biggest stage' - these games are not friendlies, the opposition are no mugs, every team in Qatar is there by right.
The Socceroos squad has a large contingent of AL players or players developed in the AL
Leckie (City) and Goodwin (AU) have scored against 2 of the top 10 nations in the world - that is 'fair impressive'
i wont lie i had doubts esp after we got pumped by France but we actually showed the world cup that the A-League 'is not so bad' matter of fact the 'AL can produce players that are competitive of going head-to-head with some of the worlds best' on the biggest stage and that has to be a big W for the league

only it works during winter is moving some games midweek and using smaller stadiums that are easily accessible.
Seriously guys how would you look at it if this comp was presented to you to run manage and sell.
got to stop 'worrying' about other codes and just do whats best for the sport.
I dont mind the AL season being played in the warmer months i have an issue with the season being short and the lack of alignment with the NPL we need to make a change to align both and we need to make the season at least 8 months - personally i would get rid of finals and add in another round of every team plays each other
however i understand commercially this probably doesnt work
