Excellent article by Joey Lynch, I wish other writers from the football media, small though it is, would write with the clarity of mind that Lynch does.
Yeah I rate Joey Lynch pretty highly as well mate... He covers national teams, Aleague, NPL and even lower with equal respect and reverence... A true football man.
I do miss the old days of football publications like the Australian Soccer Weekly (just 50 cents) where you could read all the latest news and analysis. I know not many people read printed publications anymore but I do wish I could catch all the news in one or two places instead of the hotchpotch way in which it is reported nowadays.
I’m also not a fan of the ‘communist style ‘ reporting in A Leagues.com.au where everything is hunky dory. I downloaded their Mariners News page but it might as well have been written by a robot, no passion to the stories whatsoever.
