+x+xSpeaking of the forum, I've been around football forums for around 20 years now. The decline in discussions has been massive. I've seen a few big ones close down, such as SoccerPulse. I wonder if Twitter has made it worse. I reckon there's a direct correlation between forums declining and the rise of Facebook.
This is sheer speculation, but I find, talking to younger football fans, that many of them havent watched a full match in ages... Many gorge on mini matches and 3 min highlight packages or even as small as tiktok 30 second "clips" I was having age old, eternal "old man yelling at clouds" debate with a young cousin about old vs new players.
Apparently, according to this 17 year old Arsenal fan, Haaverts and Saka are miles ahead of Henry in every conceivable metric??? 3 hours later and 2 full replays of matches the comment was..... "the highlights only show the good bits". hahahahahahahahahahah
