Last season some bright spark decided to make a single Match Round thread for the aleague games. The result was a good one stop shop for discussion about that week's games and issues worthy of attention.

I think that was a great idea (if somewhat belatedly acknowledged and praised).

I would encourage anyone who watches a game to spend the time and effort to give their summary/review of the match from their perspective this coming season.

Having read my match summaries you know that you don't actually have to know what you are talking about to form a picture of a game and generate discussion or interest. It may just be me but I do like to hear how others viewed a game I have watched and it is great to hear how supporters perceived games that I did not get to watch (preferably more detail than 'we were shit but they were shitter' if I'm honest about my hopes).

Having the same sort of Match Round concept for NPL rounds in some form would also be a window into parts of the sport that don't get much visibility beyond local presence - letting others know which players are showing form and that bit extra to put them into the light.

No 'commitment' required - just encouragement to make the significant effort to expose your passion and maybe spread it round a bit if you're up for it.

The match was a training process for the athletes, they fought with all their might, very well.

The idea of a single Match Round thread creates a centralized space for fans to discuss games, which can enhance community interaction and make it easier to follow conversations.
