Tight from the start with crowds 11 - 10 000 and gradually saw them fall to 2 - 3000. The passion faded. The good games were great but too many were shit with too many average players filling the void of teams out of the four.
You talk of Passion??!! The only passion i saw was not about soccer/football rather ethnic conflict Serb/Croat, Greek/Macedonian, Greek/Italian ... etc..The Hungarians, Maltese, Dutch and Hebrew were so 60's and there communities had moved on and gone surfing. The poms, irish and scots were too busy drinking to establish NSL teams could have seen some real 80's 'passion' there. Yawn material for me and others who wanted to see real connected football passion... Nearly got it with Adelaide City but the old Italian guard didnt want to embrace the rest of us....
A-league has problems but at least it has a chance in the Future....
NSL > leave it for the history boys..
Did like Aginor Munez and Dixie Deans for city tho....
Its good to see the new breed of football followers now their history....fkn uneducated fucks
