YOSSI BENAYOUN is a surprise transfer target for Double-chasing Chelsea.

Liverpool's unsettled playmaker is becoming one of the country's most sought-after players with Spurs, Roma and Dinamo Moscow also sniffing round the Israel international.

Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has turned to Benayoun with midfielder Joe Cole looking increasingly likely to quit Stamford Bridge on a free transfer.

Benayoun, 30, is unsure of his place at Anfield and has no idea if boss Rafa Benitez will be staying at the club.

He would offer creativity on the wing and would fit in as a relatively cheap squad player at around £5million.

Benayoun is contracted until 2013 but has drifted in and out of the Liverpool side of late.

Meanwhile, Blues defender Michael Mancienne could join Wolves on a permanent basis after impressing during his season-long loan at Molineux.

The England Under-21 star is eager to keep playing first-team football - and Wolves are believed to be lining up a £4m bid this summer.
