Kudos Timmy, it's good to see a footballer so humble and appreciative of what his earnt for himself and respects that he has been given the chance to do what he wants with a smile on his face and good people around him who respect him enough to offer such a long deal.

Misses out on CL football (even though he deserves to play in it) but his played at the biggest stage in the World Cup so I would say that he doesnt really need the CL for big match experiences.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Cahill 'Couldn't Be Any Happier'?
SOCCEROOS midfielder Tim Cahill described signing a new long-term contract with Everton as "a massive moment in my career".

Have your say.

Couldn't ask for a better role model for Aussie Kids...

Congrats Timmy,u deserve all the happiness,a small reward for all you the happiness you give to others.

You're kidding me, right?

Harry Kewell is the ultimate role model. Tim Cahill is not.

I disagree. Harry is just one of the freaky guys that has natural talent that can not be taught.whereas timmy has had to work hard to be where he is at.not saying Harry hasn't worked hard, but I think Timmy is a better role model for kids because he shows what can be achieved when you work hard for something.

Well fair enough. I think on the field, Tim Cahill is a pretty good role model (Even though I perceive him as a scavenger and an opportunist who gets cheap goals), off the field on the other hand, I'll never have respect for him. People often turn a blind eye and perceive Cahill as a saint.

I don't think anyone is born with natural ability. You obtain ability. Harry Kewell worked his ass off early in life to become the great player he is today. He could have just easily sat back and done nothing and be the next Nick Carle. He seems to be a role model on and off the field (Kewell).
