has he overtaken Kewell as the 2nd most important outfield player in the team... i think you gotta look at it and see how integral he is to the team, he's by far the best crosser in the team which is so important for us to utilise Cahill's heading abilities, and he's very consistent with his defensive duties... but also on top of that is his availability, when has he been in doubt for a game and with him playing in Russia he is avaliable for a number of Asian matches (asian cup qualifiers) and will be a certainty for the Asian Cup even if most of the Euroroos aren't able to be selected for the tournament... If availability is a problem for the Asian Cup for the squad Luke should defiently be considered for the Captaincy
