cahill will be fit, im not concerned. theres no need to risk him right now. if it was 2 days before the germany game, i might be concerned but 5 days leaves 3 full training days before the game. lets see what happens tomorrow and the next day

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Cahill Crock Fear?
TIM Cahill and not Harry Kewell is now looming as Australia's biggest injury cloud just five days out from the Socceroos' World Cup opener against Germany on Sunday night in Durban.

Have your say.

The throw away line about Oar and his long range shot shows that we need our players who can hit shots from distance to be taking their half chances, the way that Cullina did against USA, because there is always the potential for the keeper to spill it - the important thing is that our other attacking players need to be following up, something Australian players tend to be terrible at.

Completely agree! I've been going on about this for months now, I even mentioned it to Pim in an online chat but didn't get a response. I think this World Cup could have more goals scored from distance, or as a result of spills from the keeper, than any World Cup before. Two of our best are David Carney and Tommy Oar but neither look like getting game time, which is maybe understandable.

However what I can't understand is why Scott McDonald wasn't selected when he is a bonda fide expert at following up other people's shots and scoring a stack of goals from it. He could have been a real weapon for us off the bench.
