Ex-Socceroos keeper Kalac tells Australia to forget Germany

Former Australia national team goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac has basically told the current Socceroos to forget beating Germany at the World Cup.

The ex-AC Milan stopper believes Pim Verbeek’s men should focus on getting points against Serbia and Ghana after they were brushed aside 3-1 by the USA last weekend.

“Germany first up I think is going to be hard to win," Kalac said. "In my honest opinion we should just concentrate on getting something out of the next two matches against Ghana and Serbia.

“It was a wake-up call," he said of the loss to the USA.

"Whether we like it or not, what our performance showed was that we have to play defensively and try to counter the other sides to get anything out of this World Cup campaign."

I'd prefer they give 100% in all three games, regardless of the result.

I would prefer:

120% against Germany
95% against Serbia
85% against Ghana

I am hoping that will set us up for a nice AUS v ENG match!!!

I'd prefer:

100% v Germany
100% v Serbia and
100% v Ghana.

Nothing less.
