Socceroos kick off new Keilor Downs sportsground newsLocal News29 May 10 @ 01:01am by Andre Awadalla Soccer stars Mark Viduka and Eddie Krncevic open Keilor Downs College's new sportsground
STUDENTS and staff at Keilor Downs College got a kick out of a recent visit by soccer legends Mark Viduka and Eddie Krncevic.
Viduka, who captained the Socceroos at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, and Krncevic, a former Australian international player and successful National Soccer League coach, were at the school to mark the official opening of its new sportsground.
The synthetic surface - which will be used for sports, including soccer, hockey, and Australian Rules Football - also has an athletics track around its perimeter and was funded entirely by the school community.
Last Thursday, the college, as well as teachers and students from local primary schools, watched as Viduka and Krncevic officially opened the ground by kicking a goal.
College house captains Stephanie Bonnes and Steven Talevski presented Keilor Downs College blazers to the pair and the school in turn received a signed Socceroo guernsey.

Every time I see an article about him I wish for 1 year in the A-League. When I see oz lotto jackpot I wish I'd win it. Both seem a slim chance.
