Pim Verbeek Out - Before he fucks up any chance we have of progressing

Okay, so this might seem like an extreme reaction to a single hammering, but let's look at the facts.

- He had one plan - defend like crazy with slow players and a high line against one of the fastest teams at the cup. That plan wasn't ever going to work, and he switched to just having no plan after we went down.
- Starting lineup was utterly dire, yet startlingly predictable. We may not have much to work with in the squad - but we have more than Pim put out. The Holman substitution was the only positive move in the whole match.
- Has Pim been just telling the lads not to press or attack in any way? We weren't even pressing or attacking the ball, we were just bending over and spreading the cheeks, Greece-vs-South Korea-style. Sucking all the life and energy out of a group that's so passionate is a hard job, but Pim has apparently managed it in a few short weeks.
- He seems to have no idea what the problems with his team and his tactics are, he's just a limp fucking noodle, 'oh they were better than us' yeah, thanks, we saw. What are you doing about it and how did you prepare for it? By doing fucking nothing, that's what.

I don't care who you put in for the remaining two games but I'm absolutely sure even Arnie would instil a bit of fight and mongrel in the boys and at least not get fucking annihilated.

We need to at least show some fight or we'll end up being the 09/10 Brisbane Roar of the World Cup. And nobody wants that. So I think the solution is clear - get rid of the guy with no idea, because even bad ideas are better than none. They'd at least be unpredictable...

I'm defo getting a Holman jersey for this WC strip.

Don't think anybody will be getting rid of Pim, that would kill off any hope of making the next round if we had Arnie in charge. Seems unfortunately Aurelio Vidmar going to the WC to learn off Pim has backfired a little also, hopefully the next NT coach shows him some good stuff.

If we draw/lose this match we must play our youngsters in the final group match and give them some experience and let them show the world what they can do. I'm guessing our second string XI would have managed a better effort against Germany... seriously, I have only Neill starting from our normal starting XI plus Harry, in their normal formation. This is what I would like to see in the 3rd match if it's a dead rubber.

Federici

Milligan Beauchamp Neill Carney

Jedinak Valeri

Vidosic Holman Kewell

Kennedy/Ruka

Vidmar has learnt heaps. HOW NOT TO COACH AN AUSTRALIAN TEAM.
