Andre Gumprecht steps down as Sydney Olympic coach as Steve O’Connor and Ian Crook appointed

NSW Premier League outfit Sydney Olympic were dealt with the news that player/manager Andre Gumprecht has stepped down as a coach of the club due to personal work commitments.
Gumprecht’s assistance to the Club during the past few weeks when needed was very much appreciated within the Sydney Olympic family with the club stating that they wish Andre the best in his future career.
Gumprecht was appreciative of his time and efforts with Olympic during his tenure as player and coach.
“I would like to thank everyone from the Club starting from the Board of Directors, my fellow players, assistants and mangers and of course the supporters of the Club.
“I was given the opportunity not only to play but also to coach at Olympic and this was an exciting experience for me that I will remember forever.
“I would also like to thank the Board for releasing me upon my request allowing me to pursue other opportunities and satisfy my work commitments.”
Former AIS and Sydney FC National Youth League head coach Steve O’Connor will take on the position as the seniors coach while former Norwich City assistant and Newcastle Jets coach Ian Crook will provide his valuable assistance as Head Coach of Sydney Olympic.
